McWane Incorporated is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of ductile iron and cast iron products for AWWA and UL/FM projects. Products include pipe, fittings, valves, hydrants, and waste water and drainage for the water works industry. The corporation is highly focused with 100% of its resources dedicated to manufacturing products targeted exclusively for this single market. McWane International was established in 1992 to coordinate the international sales activities of McWane Inc.'s eleven manufacturing divisions. Previously these activities were conducted by each individual unit. Although some of the divisions have only recently begun manufacturing products to international specifications, other divisions have been active internationally for several decades. Several of the divisions have been producers of iron pipe, valve and fitting products since the late 1800’s. Ten of the eleven manufacturing divisions operate their own foundry as part of their production process.
